The day had been a cloudy, rainy day. A few hours before sunset I looked at the radar and saw that the trailing edge of the storm may be passing just in time for sunset. Over the next hour I thought about where to go for the potential sunset shot. I decided on the coast about 45 minutes south. The storm started clearing inland just as I was leaving work, giving me an hour til sunset. Driving toward the coast I noticed that the edge of the storm was drifting further west the further south I went. The hope was that by the time I got to the coast, the storm would just be clearing there. This had to be the first time that mother nature played along with the scenario in my minds eye! What a sunset it was!
