Indian Peaks Wilderness Area is a federally protected region that straddles the Continental Divide south of Rocky Mountain National Park. Because overnight camping is prohibited at Lake Isabelle, a three mile nocturnal hike is required to reach this breathtaking location before sunrise. This image was cropped from a larger multi-shot panorama that combined 9 vertical photographs stitched together in Photoshop. After optimizing the color photograph, I converted it by stacking multiple black and white adjustment layers. NOTE TO THE EDITOR: The uploaded image appears on your website to be somewhat darker than the original. Also, A wider crop can be provided if space is needed above the mountains for text. Thank you.
