A 4am trip down to West Kilbride beach, in Scotland. The water was absolutely flat all the way to Arran, with only slight ripples. The moon was just setting behind Arran as the sun was beginning to rise behind me. I ended up spending around 2 hours photographing this view because the pastel coloured light was perfect and it's rare to see the water quite as calm as this. It was shot with a Nikon D7000, Nikon 18-55 and an old Manfrotto tripod.
