The west fork trail in oak creek canyon is very similar to that of the subway in Zion National Park. This trail has it's cascades, fluted sandstone tunnel, and towering cliffs creating it's own narrows. In autumn, the canyon transforms into a spectacular display of color. I waded down into the chilly creek and set up my tripod towards the cliffs. With the abundance of falling leaves, I was hoping to capture the movement of colors in camera. After the 30 second exposure, the leaves were flowing in towards me as if they emerged from the canyon walls. It was a surreal scene, and one that yielded some beautiful autumn colors.
