1/250th sec. @ f5.6, ISO 200, +1.3 EV. A small flock of Seagulls heading to roost at sunset. I had been trying for weeks to capture this image with little success. There are a couple of sunset cruise boats that head out into the Gulf on a not so consistent schedule or route. Sometimes they show up late, sometimes they head north, sometimes they head south and based on demand sometimes they don't show at all. Throw in the unpredictability of mother nature and you end up with a slim chance of capturing all the elements aligned as you had envisioned. On this day determination finally paid off. I knew that shooting into the sun would "fool" the metering in my camera so I shot this at +1.3EV.
