Description

I SHOT THIS IN THE EARLY MORNING LIGHT OUT ON MY PATIO WITH A BLACK VELVET BACKGROUND. I HAD FOCUS STACKING IN MIND. THIS IMAGE IS A PING ORCHID BUD. I SHOT 31 FRAMES FROM FRONT TO BACK AND PROCESSED IT IN CS6. WHEN IT WAS DONE THIS IS WHAT CAME OUT. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN AN EXTREMELY SHARP DEEP GREEN BUD WITH A FLAT BLACK BLACKGROUND BUT IT CAME OUT WITH THESE BLUES AND REDS. ON THE TOP IT HAS VEINING IN THE RED AND THESE LITTLE SMOOTH TUNNELS. I REDID IT SEVERAL TIMES WITH THE SAME RESULTS EVERY TIME. THE IMAGE BEFORE THIS ONE AND AFTER IT WAS PERFECT AND NORMAL. I GUESS THIS ONE WAS SUPPOSE TO BE THIS WAY. I LOVE THE COLORS WHICH LOOK PRETTY CLOSE ON OP BUT NOT QUITE AS VIBRANT AS HERE AT HOME. MANY TIMES FOR ME JUST THE COLOR OF AN IMAGE MAKES IT VERY APPEALING TO ME.
