This area is just south of Sand Harbor State Park off of HWY28.
On a recent visit to Lake Tahoe, Nevada I wanted to capture "Bonsai Rock". Having been here in the past I had never really gotten great conditions. On this trip I returned to this place five times. On the last and final attempt, the conditions finally came together. This evening the lake was so calm and the light reflected so beautifully on the calm water. I got to enjoy this place all to myself as the light illuminated the lake so peacefully.
This is Lake Tahoe, Nevada. These boulders are located right off Hwy 28 near North Lake Tahoe, Nevada. The boulder off in the distance in called Bonsai Rock because of the small Bonsai tree growing out of the rock.
