When traveling through all the National Parks in Utah, our schedule followed the routine of the sun. Early to rise and early to bed. One fine morning, we headed out to Capitol Reef National Park just as the sun was peeking over the horizon. It was winter, and the ranches in Utah were covered with snow. That did not deter these horses from enjoying a early morning graze outside. As we drove by their field, all the four horses raised their heads and followed us with their gaze in unison. It was as though they were surprised to see us up and about this early, and were curious to see what we would do next.
