In September, 2009, while hiking from Bear Lake to Nymph Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park, I saw a small buck deer cross the trail in the distance. As I approached the area I looked through the forest to see him and finally was able to pick him out amongst the trees. He and his antlers were well camouflaged by the surrounding trunks and branches.
