This winter I went out to the desert in search of answers to some important life decisions I was going to make. Looking over the expansive horizon awaiting the moonrise, I asked for a confirmation that I was moving in the right direction. On this particular horizon there was only one small area that had cacti on the ridge which I thought would make for a great composition . . . I had no idea where the moon was going to come up . . . so I asked for a sign that if I had made the right move, let the moon rise in this particular area . . . fifteen minutes later, there it was . . . the confirmation I was looking for. I didn't have to move an inch. I smiled confidently.
