Description

The Salt Pans of Death Valley are located in the Badwater section of the California National Park. It is the lowest elevation in the US at 282 feet below sea level and also the location of the highest recorded temperature in history at 130 degrees. These Polygonal shapes are the result of an ancient dried up lake bed.
