During a visit to Yellowstone National Park in late Spring, we saw a rather large crowd gathered by the side of the road. We parked our car and got out in time to see a female grizzly with two cubs romping around in the grass. I was able to take a few hand-held shots (no time to set up a tripod or even adjust the ISO setting) before they disappeared into the woods. This is an image of the mother and one of the cubs taken at 400mm, f/6.3 at 1/125sec., ISO 250. I'm really thankful for image stabilization - - there's no way I could have captured a reasonably sharp image at 1/125 Sec. without it.
