Description

I've been blessed to have this wonderful beauties of nature growing right along side my house. The moon flowers here bloom right near dusk, and are usually starting to wilt by morning, so really the only way to photograph them has been to add artificial light. So definitely no golden hour here. I used two handheld flashlights, one a standard yellow bulb, and the other a bluish tint soft LED. The exposure was 25 seconds at f/13 which gave me enough time to go around the flower and click the lights on and off. The resulting image is a layer of two photos, one exposed for the leaves, and the other the flower itself. Post processing was done in Photoshop CS6
