Sometimes you get lucky, and when we came around the corner for our final location of the day (Ash Cave in Hocking Hills State Park), we knew we had something special. It was unreal. Not only was the last light of day spilling in through the clouds, mist, and canopy – the place was completely deserted (normally it’s packed). I’ve been to this spot dozens of times and it’s never looked quite so good. So, we set up the tripod and attached the camera as fast as we could (I just KNEW someone would be by soon and wander into the shot). I snapped away dozens of different photos, but this is one of my favorites.
