Notes

Two of us drove a couple of hours to see if we might find some magic in the sunset. We drove into thick overcast and heavy clouds, which can shut off any interesting light. This didn't turn out to be the case either - the passing storm started to break up and gave us a full evening of that magic.

Description

We had a dry year in Central California, and our wildflower season has been spotty - except for some areas where everything worked! This corner of the Central Valley had enough rain, little grazing and an epic bloom! This day almost shut off due to heavy low clouds, but by late afternoon they had started to break up, providing about 3 hours of amazing light and shooting! Shot at 16mm, 0.3 sec @ f/10, ISO 400, 3 stop hard Singh-Ray Grad ND.
