Description

The Turnagain Arm of the Cook Inlet has the second highest tidal change in the world - just after the Bay of Fundy. It is one of the few places where a tidal bore happens, people have surfed and kayaked the wave. It is also one of the most dangerous mud flats in the world, having trapped people in it's clinging mud as the tide rushed in. This was a moment just before high tide in a rare calm from the normal rushing wind and wild waves. One almost never sees boats of any kind in the Turnagain Arm.
