F6.3, Focal Length 135(202 equivalent) mm. I braced the camera against the window pane and was able to steady it enough using an ISO of 800 to capture the scene at 1/5th second. Post processing in Lightroom 4 and Photoshop CS5.1 required minimal manipulation.

Description

As is common in the summer along the Front Range of the Rockies, an afternoon thunderstorm complete with torrential rain and hail can suddenly occur and cause people and animals to seek whatever shelter is available. From a window in our home I watched as this mother and her fawn scurried under a Ponderosa Pine in our backyard. While a second fawn was running through the puddles this little one decided it was time for a snack.
