When the water finally thaws after a long winter over Lake Superior waves seem to crash as if they've been pent up for months. Summer brings luminous skies at sunset which is my favorite time to capture. This image was captured at Black Rocks along Presque Isle located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The rocks are said to be 3 billion years old classifying them as one of the oldest formations on Earth. I definitely got soaked right after I pressed the shutter button; an insignificant peril to achieve on of my favorite shots.
