From Highway 101 approximately 2 miles east of Port Angeles, turn south onto the well marked Deer Park road (same turnoff as to the local theatre).
Once above the park boundary, take your time. It is a narrow, twisty, bumpy road. But the views in all directions are spectacular.
The parking lot at Deer Park in ONP is at 6500 feet, 10 miles as the crow flies from tidewater. A 17 mile road from Highway 101 just east of Port Angeles leads to a campground and spectacular views in all directions. The road is only open to vehicle traffic from June/July to late September, depending on weather.
