This image was made in the dead of winter. What makes it's perfect is that the conditions were so unique that it offered an opportunity to make an image unlike any other. The wind was gusting up to 70 mph at the top of the pass and I had to hold onto my tripod to keep it from blowing over! The wind was blowing off the top of the peaks hundreds of feet into the air and at the same time, the last light of the day lit up the peaks and blowing snow. The dark storm clouds offer further contrast to the blowing snow. Ahhh Perfect!
