I had camped the night before at Stovepipe Wells (Sea level) and it was a nice 55 degree night. I had forgotten the fact that I gained over 5000 feet in elevation getting to the playa and the overnight temperature dipped to 18 degrees, for which I was NOT prepared for! CCCOLD. Go prepared!
I captured this on the Race Track Playa in Death Valley National Park. I had just finished up capturing a 2 hour star travel sequence at 1am on a full moon night, when I was headed back to camp when I came across this scene begging for me to capture it.
