This has been an unusual winter for the Cape with lots of snow lasting far longer than usual. My front porch developed a nice crop of icicles and I spent about four days shooting from a step ladder to get up close. The closer I got, the more interesting the patterns caught within each icicle. This one was kind of chubby and reflected the blue sky and brown of the trees nearby. Love the bubbles and swirls inside and the morning light reflecting off the ice.
