Goodbye fall and hello winter! This was the first snow storm of the season, which perfectly etched each rock of the flatirons in a rim of white, and left a golden maple intact! I've shots these mountains dozens of times covered in snow, but nothing has ever matched up to this spectacular morning. Though I was here earlier, the clouds covered the peaks, and only poured over for a matter of minutes before disappearing completely. This is proof why being there at that decisive moment, is as important as any photographic skill or equipment!
