Wonder Lake Reflections by Doug Kliewer

Photographer Doug Kliewer:

“This photo was taken Sept 3, 2013 from the north shore of Wonder Lake, Denali National Park at approximately 10:30 am. Our group had spent the morning attempting grand landscape photos from a rise above the lake when I noticed the beautiful fall foliage reflections in the water. I had just replaced my wide angle lens with the 500 mm lens to direct attention to the lake reflections when a pair of trumpeter swans flew into view. I only had time to grab a few handheld shots before the swans flew beyond the colorful reflections of the fall foliage. The photo was processed in Adobe LR 5 with contrast, color saturation and levels adjustments as well as cropping adjustments.”

Equipment: Canon EOS 5D Mark III, Canon EF 500mm f/4 IS II USM lens

Pictures of wildlife are captivating. Whether the animals show bizarre behavior or more relatable reactions. Thank you for the post.
