Wait for the right light, find an interesting composition, expose the image properly and so on and so forth. All true! Even the most creative photographers need a solid foundation in the technical aspects of the craft. In

Taming the Light: The art and technique of exposure blending

Posted By Joseph Rossbach
I am often asked about my post processing and the one question that always comes up is, “Did it really look like that”, asked with a good deal of skepticism. And rightly so! In the age of digital capture, and Photoshop it is nearly impossible to tell the difference between what is

Sandstone Gone Wild, Valley of Fire State Park

Posted By Joseph Rossbach
Valley of Fire State Park, is a little known gem of amazing sandstone, only 50 miles from Las Vegas and bordering Lake Meade burning under the burning sun of the Mojave Desert. I was turned onto this park five years ago, while traveling back and forth between Zion National Park and Las Vegas. It served

Coral Cove Sunset, Jupiter Island, Florida

Posted By Joseph Rossbach
Arriving on Jupiter Island in the early afternoon I went straight to Coral Cove to scout out this location. I was surprised at how little an area of rock it was. I’m not sure exactly what I was expecting, but it seemed like it would have been more expansive. At any rate,

Arch Angel Falls, Zion National Park
This past November I visited and photographed one of the Southwest most beautiful locations, the Subway in Zion National Park. It wasn’t my first time. About ten years ago I camped down in the Right Fork of Left Creek and spent two days hiking to the Subway from my camp. It

Grand Prismatic

Posted By Joseph Rossbach
After my Grand Teton Workshop ended last week I encountered crystal clear skies on what was to be my last shoot before catching an early  flight the next morning. Not wanting to waste any opportunities to make an image, myself and Richard Bernabe headed north into Yellowstone National Park to work

Richard Bernabe and I just finished up our Tetons workshop this morning. We had a great time shooting landscapes, fall color intimates, Moose, Bison and Antelope.
