Tim Williams’ striking image from an ice beach in Iceland is today’s Photo Of The Day. Williams submitted this image to the Snow & Ice Assignment. Williams describes how he got the photo, “A NC boy makes his first, long-awaited trip to Iceland. The ice beach at Jokulsarlon treated us well, with many pristine icebergs to choose from. Use of filters allowed for dynamic water effects and light control, and I didn’t mind getting wet for the shot, despite the December cold. The unique color and shape of this berg really grabbed my attention, and I was able to capture a cooperative wave.”
Williams used a Nikon D600, Nikon 17-35mm f/2.8 lens, Induro CT-213 tripod and Induro BHD2 ballhead.
