Regular readers of OP know that I am a big fan of small cameras that have large image sensors. I like the combination of the big sensor’s inherent image quality in a camera that I can carry with me anywhere. In other words, it’s like the Millennium Falcon, “…she’s got it where it counts!” Today, Nikon has announced the Coolpix A- compact, fixed-lens camera with a 16.2 megapixel Nikon APS-C (Nikon calls it DX-format) CMOS image sensor.It will be available in March 2013 at a suggested retail price of $1099.
