Butterfly Captures

I have butterflies in my garden and would like to adapt my digital SLR to capture them. Any suggestions on what to use without breaking the bank?

The Mobile Photographer

I’m limited to movement in a walker or electric cart. I would like to start photography again. Is there a tool that could be clamped onto the walker or cart that would hold a camera out of the way while I move into position and then would permit the camera to be swung around to take the picture?

Aquarium Tips

This fall my wife and I are planning to travel to the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta. We would like to photograph the animals in the aquariums as well as the aquariums themselves. Can you help with any equipment recommendations or techniques?

More Depth Of Field

Using A Tilt/Shift Lens • Intensify Now Or Later? • Protecting You From Yourself • Patience • Super Scans

I’ve experimented with tilt/shift techniques. With all of the digital techniques available for altering depth of field (as well as perspective control), do you still find tilt/shift lenses useful? Helicon Focus seems to solve so many depth-of-field issues.

Simple Panoramas

What’s the best technique to obtain a panoramic image without going in for expensive equipment such as panoramic cameras? I have a Canon EOS 30D and shoot with a Gitzo tripod and Kirk BH-1 ballhead. Do I need to capture eight to 10 overlapping images of the panoramic landscape and then stitch them together in Photoshop?

Adaptable Digital

I know that I’m going to have to enter the digital age, but right now I can’t afford to jump into it with both feet. I’d like to buy the best camera body (most likely EOS) I can afford, but would like to be able to use the fleet of FD mount lenses that I used with my older Canon F1 and FTb until I can afford better lenses and while I brush off the cobwebs and relearn the photographic thought process and techniques.
