Accessible Photography I love picture-taking in our national parks. My wife is in a wheelchair. Do you know of tours for the handicapped, or whom I could contact about helping us when we go to the national parks?

Low-Light Macro I’m a mycologist who wants to photograph mushrooms in the forest under low-light conditions. How would you get the camera and flash low enough to capture detail under the mushroom cap of ground-sprouting mushrooms (some are only an inch or two tall)? I currently use a Canon EOS 40D with 50mm, 100mm and 200mm Nikkor-Micro lenses with an EOS adapter, an Arca-Swiss ballhead and an older Gitzo Reporter tripod with a removable center column. I also have an EZ550 flash with an off-camera cord. Can you suggest equipment/techniques to facilitate this work?

Printing Panoramas I have an Epson Stylus Photo R2400 printer—great printer, but I can’t coax it into printing a panorama of any significant size with the 13-inch x 32.8-foot roll of Epson Luster paper. The print preview looks fine, but it only prints a short segment of the image at the desired width.

Best Digital B&W When using a digital camera, is it better to get black-and-white photos by capturing in color, then processing as black-and-white, or by capturing the shot with the black-and-white setting in the camera?

Slicing Up Depth Of Field
Formulas And Focus • Size, Weight And Will it Float? • From JPEG To RAW • Charging Overseas Without A Charger • Bifocal Focus Formulas And Focus
I shoot a lot of wildflowers and have tinkered a bit with Helicon Focus Software. The main objective is, of course, the soft background with a sharp subject. Do you have any formulas for the number of slices at various magnifications? I use a Really Right Stuff focusing rail and a Canon 90mm tilt/shift with and without extension tubes.

Keeping Sensitive To IR's Needs
Tripping With Infrared Film • Running Out Of Walls • How To Go Pro • Waiting For Long Exposures I’m traveling to Patagonia, and I want to carry 35mm infrared film. What suggestions do you have regarding how to get it through international (Argentinean) security? Will they absolutely insist that the film be removed from the canister?

Tele-Polarizers Would you recommend the use of a drop-in polarizer with the Canon 400mm ƒ/2.8 for wildlife or landscape photography?
