Canon EOS 5D Mark II
After a Long Wait, It’s Finally Shipping!

We have all been waiting on the successor to the Canon 5D, which became the first full-frame D-SLR to create a new pro camera class at a smaller cost than the 1D series. Well the wait was over a few months ago with the announcement of Canon EOS 5D Mark II, and the good news is, it’s finally shipping.
All of us have come to love the 5D series for its amazing low-light performance, image quality, durability and cost, and it looks like those of us with that already have bought into the system won’t be disappointed with the 5D Mark II. The reviews and buzz surrounding the D-SLR have been positive both in the cameras image quality and the 1920x1080 HD recording capability, making it that much sweeter for those of us lucky enough to get our hands on one before Turkey Day.
So if you’re looking for a reminder of just how good the HD video capture is, Vincent Laforet, who put the first mini-movie shot with the 5D Mark II on the web called
Reverie, just posted more video including footage shot with a Tilt-Shift lens shot from the air. To access the video, click

The Canon EOS 5D Mark II has a street price of $2,699 for the body only, or as a kit with the 24-105mm f/4 IS USM AF Lens for $3,499. To find out more visit
