Bug Portraits Outdoor Photographers don't often do portraits, but here's a notable exception: the interesting macro portraits of bugs that photographer Thomas Shahan creates. How does he first get these bugs in frame, then fill the frame, then ensure that they're also gorgeous and colorful images? It’s a feat unlike many others you’re likely to see, but the trick is somewhat simple: he takes his time and he works on a really small scale.
