Mars Needs Landscape Photographers

Leave it to Boston's Big Picture to create another showcase of amazing landscape imagery. This time, though, the subject is a little farther away than usual—Mars. Collecting images from NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, the gallery showcases aerial landscapes and abstractions that help to provide a sense of place to this literally otherworldly location. Just as striking is how earthlike and familiar some of the places appear.
