New Nikon with Unprecedented ISOs

Nikon just announced its D3s dSLR, a pro level camera capable of 720p HD video recording, a 12-megapixel sensor, 9-frames-per-second shooting speed and, most notably as far as I’m concerned, unbelievably high-ISO sensitivities. The base ISO range runs from 200 to 12,800, and it’s expandable from ISO 100 to a whopping 102,400. Curious about what such high ISO looks like in use? You’re in luck: Nikon has posted full-size example images, shot under a variety of situations and lighting conditions, and up to ISO 12,800, on its web site. Check them out and see it for yourself, and read up on the camera while you’re there.
