Outdoor Advice from Jay Goodrich

I had the pleasure of interviewing photographer Jay Goodrich last year, and it was obvious that he’s got a different sensibility than many photographers I speak with. Trained as an architect and then as an architectural photographer, Jay deliberately brings that design sense and acute spatial arrangement prowess to his landscape photography pursuits. Not only is Jay a talented photographer, he’s an active teacher of photography as well. For shooters who’d like to learn from a pro about techniques for photographing wildlife and landscapes, Jay’s got a lot to offer. First is his series of workshops: he’s just put the finishing touches on two upcoming classes in Alaska and Chile. Next, he’s begun an online one-on-one tutorial series in which he will lead you, live via video conferencing, through his image processing workflow so that you can apply his techniques to your images. And last but not least is Jay’s photo blog. Not only does he share his own advice and opinions, he recruits guest photographers to share their insights through his blog. Find out all about Jay’s photography, his workshops and tutorials, and spend some time looking at his great photography online
