With the recent release of Photoshop CS4, Adobe has gone to great lengths to increase the overall speed and add new features to make it a more intuitive program. Along those lines, John Nack from Adobe blogged about a new application being developed by Adobe called Configurator 1.0, a new utility that allows you to customize and design your own Photoshop CS4. This new application works as an editor to create your own unique user interface, by letting you drag and drop tools, menu items, filters, call up actions and scripts, and add custom widgets and other items into custom panels and palettes that you can integrate into your CS4 suite. This will make your Photoshop a custom workspace that makes it easy get to all the tools and menu items you need without pouring through menus. Nack also made a 10-minute video posted on Russell Brown’s Web site demonstrating its capabilities. Configurator 1.0 will be available in a few weeks on Adobe Labs http://labs.adobe.com.
