Color watch in the Smoky Mountains

Postby mtngirl » Fri Sep 29, 2006 6:11 pm

Hey Guys, I was on top of the Smokies this morning, and it was beautiful with the fog lying around, but the colors have not started yet. It will depend on the weather. These cold nights will bring frost and the colors will start. The sourwoods have changed colors, and you can tell fall is just around the corner. Clingman's Dome was cold, and the wind was blowing, but it was nice.
