Hello All,

It has been a while since I have posted any thing, it has been a very hectic mosquito control season. But things have started to slow down so I have had some time to work on a few things. I am still working on getting my business going. I have a website created and would like to hear what you all have to say about it. Hope everything is going well and it is good to be back.

Peace,

Chris

Yeah right now if have it posted on my moble me account through Mac. You have to pay a yearly subscription for it. I am going to purchase a domain name and host it through something like Godaddy.com or one of those places. That way I will have something easier to remember like http://www.gallagherscreativeshots.com. I just want to put the finishing touches on it before I put it on something like that though. I made the web page on iWeb, it is one of the programs you get when you purchase the iLife bundle with the Mac.

Thanks for looking!

Peace,

Chris

Do you mind if i ask how much it was? What about for a domain name?

reason I'm aking is that I'm getting a macbookpro and mobile me. And I know I'll want to start a website sometime. Perhaps next spring or so(when i get better. lol) And i'm just trying to get ideas. Going through mac would be just wonderful. :D

I think that it cost us $99 for a years subscription for the mobil me account. It comes with something like 20 gigs of space and you can buy more if you need it. Also you can have host as many websites as your memory will hold. The only reason that I'm not leaving it on there is the fact that when I give it to a customer I want it to be easy for them to type, instead of www.me.blah.blah.yadda/yadda/youknow.com or something like that.

Ok, domains and hosting through Godaddy.com, the domain name like www.gallagherscreativeshots.com is going to cost you around $10 a year, the hosting services are going to cost you about $7 a month. So, I figure that's not bad to have a website that could possibly bring in the customers. When you get your Mac purchase the iLife bundle it will give you the iMovie, iPhoto, iWeb, and I think something else. The website that I made was all done on iWeb. There are tutorials on the web that will let you do a lot with it.

I hope this helps, If there is anything else I can try to answer just let me know.

Peace,

Chris

Alright. Thanks a bunch, Chris! You have been really helpful!!! I might slowly make my way up to a "super nice" site like yours, I'm not sure. We'll see i suppose. I'm still trying to figure out to market myself! hahaha.(if you have any ideas, i'm open to them!)
thanks again! I wish you and your business well. (: I'm sure the website will really help too.(i personally like to look at the persons photos before i even talk/see them. but that's just me. (: )

Thats a pretty cool website..
The only thing i would change on it is, having a page for prices. this was they dont have to contact you directly they can just go to a page to see the prices for prints and the sizes you offer and do the same for portrait packages.
