Thought I should pop in and say "Hi". And admit right from the start that I don't know a lot about photography, but I'd like to learn! Currently I'm cruising the forums (yay search function) before I post the apparently obligatory "HALP I am a dSLR newb!" thread. While I'm pondering my question though, any pointers in the direction of helpful books/websites/whatever for grasping the basics of digital photography would be very much appreciated! (Yeah, I may have to start with Digital Photography for Dummies :/ Anyone know if it's any good?)

D'oh, sorry, I should have said! I am indeed principally interested in outdoor/nature photography, though I will try and explain myself more clearly once I've got my thoughts together (and when I'm more awake).
