Outdoor Lighting/Small Budget

Postby jahiasad » Mon Dec 27, 2010 12:16 am

I need help with lighting for an outdoor afternoon shoot. I have a Canon 50d and I'm borrowing a lighting kit from a friend but I don't have an outdoor battery supply. I have a photo shoot with a former WWE model and I want to find out what should I use for outdoor lighting to get pro model shots? I have to be honest, I suck with the lighting stuff. I don't have a huge budget for all the expensive lights and reflectors. I'm willing to invest but budget wise I'm strapped. Can somebody point me in the right direction so I can get some "Sports Illustrated" "Maxim" type photos?

Thanks

Achieving pro type results on limited budget equipment will be a little difficult. For those on a limited budget, shooting with flash off camera is normally the best way to go.
Here's a link to Strobist Lighting tutorials that, hopefully, will help get you started along the right path: http://strobist.blogspot.com/2006/03/lighting-101.html

Good luck with your shoot and Welcome to the Forum!
