2011 Chicago Air Show

Postby tallman23 » Tue Aug 23, 2011 10:11 pm

Headed to the Chicago Air Show this weekend with some fun toys in tow. Switched between the 300 2.8 and 200-400 f/4. I shot shutter priority fluctuating between 1/1600 and 1/2000. The Thunderbirds and F-18 were awesome!

Comments and feedback welcome

One question:

When two jets are going head to head (e.g. Thunderbird photo of overlapping jets), is there a way to get both jets completely in focus and tack sharp? I panned on one of the jets shooting 7 fps and was fortunate to capture these images at a point in time; however, the jet being focused on (further away or behind from our perspective) is sharp, while the other is not.
