Remote Live View?

Ever wanted to ask a professional how they approach the landscape or wildlife or how they set up their camera for great photographs? What about asking what kind of gear the pro uses and why? Well here's your chance.

Remote Live View?

Postby hunted08 » Mon Jun 04, 2012 1:51 am

I was reading an article when I noticed a brief mention that an iPad had been used as a remote viewfinder. No actual details were given just basically "I do this". But no "I do this and this is how". Had the camera on tripod and remote shutter release, all on the iPad. He was able to wirelessly view what the camera was seeing. Live video could also be done. Basically previewing the capture, remotely. Does anyone know how I could do this? Like what kind of hardware/software I would need. I have a Canon 550D. Thanks for any info you may have for this.
