Scenics in California

A few photos of my trip to California Yosemite National Park and other places. I still learning how to use my new Canon 30D. Please let me know what you think how I can can improve my technique.

Khoa,

WELCOME TO THE FORUM!

It's not possible to view the exif info for your pictures in that format, so I have a couple of questions. Which lens did you use to shoot these and do you remember the settings you used? Also, did you use a tripod?

You have some very nice pictures, but they do not seem to be very sharp. If you're using the kit lens that came with the camera (the 18-55mm), that would explain a lot of it. If you reduce the aperture opening (higher f stop), you will bring more of the subject into focus, but will reduce the speed so you would probably need a tripod or monopod to elimate any camera movement.

I have the Canon 30D too and really like it. My son has a 20D and I was so impressed with it, that I bought a Canon too. Unfortunately, mine locked up over the weekend and is now in the shop.
