Recent Winter Scenic Photograph

Postby dkile » Sun Mar 04, 2007 7:53 pm

A recent photograph from this past week in Maryland. Anyone else have some of this winter? This is also my first attempt to post a picture.

Dave,

WELCOME TO THE FORUM!

We don't get a lot of snow in Memphis, but here's one from last year:

Love the barn scene. I have some from the storm we had 2 weeks back were my plow truck is stuck in a drift. I shot them with my 35mm so I have to scan them yet. I still like to shoot film sometimes.

Thanks for the comments. We have only really had two snows this year. I hope we are finished.

I should probably share this is with my new Nikon D80. Still trying to learn more about the features. I am able to start taking RAW pictures and can really see the difference. I know you can's see it with this shot, but the trees were all covered with ice and showed up real nicely with sun.

I had a Digital Rebel and was only able to get JPEG pictures. Great camera, but after three years I was ready for an upgrade.

I hope the forum can be cleaned up too!

Bob about the forum

Bob,

It seems you have been here for a little while. Is there any mods on the forum that are seen or can be contacted?

No, they don't have a "contact" option and the members that have tried to haven't had any success. It would be a very simple thing to not allow posting until the day after you join and after your email address has been confirmed. Many of the forums have gone to those type of restrictions to combat the spam with no loss of new members.

I noticed they are using phpBB for the forum. There are a lot of features they have not turned on for us to use like spam notice to mods and posting pictures directly to the site.

Maybe they'll change some of this.
