Azaleas are blooming - PICS

Postby bob_r » Sun Mar 25, 2007 7:16 pm

The azaleas have started blooming in Memphis. The first pic shows a variety that always blooms first and the second pic shows one that follows shortly afterwards. With all the warm weather we've been having lately, they started blooming early this year.

These shots were both taken with a Canon 30D + Sigma 150mm macro lens + Kenko 12mm tube + Sigma 1.4X teleconverter. This setup gives me a little more working room than just using the macro lens.

Hey Bob,
Beautiful flowers, great colors, nice images (could use a tad bit of USM), but in that top pic...looks like some chromatic abberation or something...the edge of the pedals don't quite look right. Something to do with the teleconverter maybe? If you're shooting in RAW, assuming you haven't tried this already, maybe try running it thru Photoshop's Camera RAW...I think there is a correction utility in there for this. Other then that, nice work :-).

Bright Blessings,
Jim
