As the sun sets over beautiful Lake Wazapumani.....

Ok....actually Lake Erie :-).

Shot these the first night I had the new camera...just got around to processing them and getting a few posted. Obviously, I'm still playing around with frames. All images were shot with my new Canon Rebel XT with a Tamron 28-80mm lens at f/5.6 in Aperture Priority. I wasn't really keeping notes as I was playing with the new camera, so I may or may not have used a polarizer on any of these. All images were processed in PS to some degree or other.

Ok, ok...I'll admit it...I may have gone a little over-board tweaking out the colors on this one in Photoshop. I added a little extra blue to the upper sky, a little extra reds and oranges in the middle and so on. So I cheat a little sometimes... 8)

(Note: Those little black specs aren't dirt on the lens or anything...those are actually a large number of Seagulls out there! LOL!)

Considering this was the first day I had the camera, despite having read the manual all week before I actually got it, I'm quite pleased with these images...I'll probably do prints of those first two  .

Alrighty, that's it for now. As always, C&C is always welcome!
Bright Blessings & Gentle Breezes,
Jim

Jim,

I think you need to include a print of the 3rd one as well. You can almost feel the quiet of the evening settling in. It's a very beautiful and tranquil scene.
