Cool shot, if the power lines werent in it, you could play it off as an original from that era....Well maybe if you didnt realize that the roads were paved like that...LOL

I like this picture a lot. Too bad for all those power cables. One thing that really bothers me in the States is all these wires dangling left and right, even in big cities, they ruined more than their fair share of my photos.
You never see that in Europe, usually even rural areas have underground wires.

Thanks! Power lines have been part of life here since the early twenties and would have fit right in with this car. Many of my photos have power lines in them, as they seem to have a life all their own. When I was a small child, I would peer out my father's car window to see these giant monsters walking the land. I guess I'm still fascinated by them and am reliving my childhood :). Alas, they are gradually disappearing as they are replaced by underground powerlines.

That car just happened to be driving by, so I included it. You never know what you are going to find when you go out shooting. :)

Hi Luca,

I would disagree about your power lines comments. I never find them distracting. They are part of life here so I include them. But, then again, as I have stated before, I'm not a pure landscape photographer. I'm a "man versus nature" or "nature in spite of man" photographer. Almost always will you find the "hand of man" in my photographs.

Pristine nature? Not around here...or many parts of the world sadly. This may cause controversy here, but the "hand of man" is everywhere one almost goes now, so I record it as much as I can. Sometimes it's poetic (mans works either mimicing nature or being completely dwarfed by it) or it's sad (man's work intruding on a pristine environment). But that is life as I see it.

Hello Pete. :) Your photo is very nice. I love that little shack on the left of the photo. Very cool, as well as the car of course.
