Sunflowers

Postby Southern Wolf » Wed Apr 02, 2008 8:18 pm

I have had a request to photograph some sunflowers.

I guess you could say this is my first photography assignment. I have submitted the results to my client so now Im just waiting to see if she purchases an image. I prob went a little overboard and made her job a whole lot harder... she has 23 shots to choose from :)

If she purchases a photo then this will be my third sale :P I guess if I finally hit 5 sales then I MAY start to consider myself a paid Pro... and not a serious amature. Naaaw Probably not.

Anyhow this is a couple of the shots she has to choose from.

All photos were taken with a Nikon D80 and Sigma 105mm macro lens. The were all photographed in my homemade photo studio complete with changeable backgrounds.

Comments and critiques welcome.

Very nice Kevin! :D I hope that you do well with them.

I love photographing sunflowers. :) This photo I took last summer turned out to be my favorite shot of the entire summer. I can't wait to photograph more this summer!

Where did you get sunflowers in April?

Sunflowers in April?

I have connections.

I have a friend that is a florist... and she can order me anything I want to photograph.

Kevin, those look great. The black background and lighting make them pop. I'm sure your client is going to have a difficult time selecting which she likes best.
