[GORIO] - 200" DREAM

“Spontaneity is the quality of being able to do something just because you feel like it at the moment, of trusting your instincts, of taking yourself by surprise and snatching from the clutches of your well-organized routine, a bit of unscheduled plea”

thanks Mitchell, i definitely understand your concern about the loss of detail in the water there. Actually my main subject here are the clouds, these are low flying clouds and would want to achieve that streaking effect. At 200 seconds of exposure the detail of the water will be reduced but the streaking clouds would be evident here. cheers! :D

i dunno, i kind of like the fact that the water has no detail. It makes it feel a little erie - i like it.
the clouds are very cool too. So in order to get the streaky feel, it was a long exposer to capture the movement?

Also, i am doing an indepth study on light(reading Nigel Hick's book "A Photographers Guide to Light") and the chapter i am in is about lanscapes. Is this image partially back-light? i am having a hard time figuring it out...thanks. (:

I really like this shot! I like that the water has no detail in it as it makes you wonder what it is exactly. I mean we know its water, but when do you see that large of a body of water that eerie looking?

I really like the effect of the water, infact I think it looks more like mist around the rocks.

I also like the similar colours in the sky and water.

Lovely shot, thanks for posting

thanks photography girl! really appreciate that, yes clouds tends to move slow so you need a long exposure to capture their movement. what do you mean by backlight? the sun is rising at my back when i shot this image.. :D
