The temp here this morning was around 28 degrees and this jay was sitting in a tree all fluffed up aginst the cold. When the sun came out I managed to get this shot.

Nice color contrast.

One of my favorite birds, but they've really been hurt by west nile virus.
Not nearly as many as we used to have.
