This is most certainly only my $.02 worth here but, while I really like the image, on my monitor at least, it's a tad too
dark. It looks like you were going for "moody" with this shot, but if it were me, I'd bring up the brightness and maybe the saturation a bit (I might even desaturate the yellows just a little). I'd also probably tighten the crop a bit...move the butterfly more into that upper left hand third of the image.
Other then that, I really love the image...very nice colors and composition, nice DOF, etc.. I've tried shooting butterflys a couple of times, but usually with pretty poor results. Most of my cameras simply won't focus fast enough to get a really good, let alone sharp shot and those darned little things just won't sit still for me
. I have the same problem with small birds like cardinels and sparrows and such too...darn little critters just move faster then my auto-focus can keep up with! LOL!!!
Anyways, it's a really nice image, but I think it could be a little better with some work...again just my $.02 worth. Good Job!
