Just monkeying around...at the Cleveland Zoo that is...

Hey Folks,
Well, the wife started back to work at her new job this week and since I had to drive her in her first day, I took advantage of being in downtown Cleveland and hit the Cleveland MetroPark's Zoo again.

While I did get a number of other good shots, I wanted to start out with this series of shots. This is of course an Allen's Swamp Monkey. Basically he sat there and posed for me for like 15 minutes...if only humans were this easy to work with! LOL!!! A couple of the shots aren't quite as sharp as they could be, but I think collectively they all go well together as a series. I'll probably print them all as 4x6's and put them in a collage frame...a nice little theme thing :) . And yes, I know they still need a little more color work before I print them... All images were shot with my Canon Rebel XT and Tamron 70-300mm Macro lens and all images were shot thru some nasty, dirty glass as usual. I used the on camera flash as fill light as the monkey was pretty heavily backlit...-and- I had the ISO cranked up pretty high on most of them. I guess it's amazing I walked away with any shots at all! LOL!!!!!!!! All shots were processed in Photoshop with my usual array of tweaks and adjustments.

Okies...that's about it for now. I'll try and get some more processed in the next few days in between working on wedding pics and such. As usual, C&C is welcomed and encouraged...enjoy!

Bright Blessings & Gentle Breezes,
Jim

Terrific shots, Jim. I think the 3rd one is my favorite. His expression says it all about life in the zoo.
